Claire Lilley Training Centre ABRS approved. We can offer tuition with our Schoolmaster horses. Improve your seat and riding technique with a specialised lunge lesson tailor-made to your needs. Self-catering cottage accomodation available.

Learn how to improve your seat and aids with a ridden lesson on one of our schoolmasters at our friendly, ABRS approved riding centre. They are all competition horses, from Elementary level up to Advanced, and really teach you how to sit with your horse. We will assess you on the ground before your lesson to ensure you are put on the horse that will best help you. We concentrate on fine-tuning your position and seat. Lessons cost £55 (inc VAT) and last 45 mins

(Please note there is a weight limit for riders of 12 1/2 stone.)

Alternatively, you can learn how to lunge and to work the horse from the ground with in-hand work with our schoolmasters. Learn lungeing techniques and how to improve the horse’s outline, muscles, and way of going.

Tuition is available in dressage and jumping at all levels from novice to advanced. Dressage to music a speciality!
We can help you tackle riding, lungeing, and handling issues in a sensible and practical way. Assessing how you and your horse work together helps us to get to know you both and to work out a suitable training plan for you during your stay and for you to follow when you return home.

Combine your training with a competition at nearby West Wilts Equestrian Centre

Our unmounted workshops give an insight to training that you can do at home, and you do not need a horse to attend! The afternoons are great fun and very informative. You will see demonstrations of the subjects covered by us and our horses, and be able to ask loads of questions. Tea and biscuits provided!

At our Position and Aids un-mounted workshops, we give you exercises to try at home for improving your co-ordination and balance. Here we are having a session on understanding the effect of half-halts.
