Feel Safe Equine Therapy

Welcome to Feel Safe Equine Therapy™. Would you like to feel calmer, less anxious? Get to know your nervous system, working with me and my horses. I work with adults on a one-to-one basis.

As both a psychotherapist, and riding coach, I combine both worlds to help with issues such as grief, relationships, PTSD, eating disorders and low self-esteem.

I also work with horse riders who may have lost their nerve through accidents or injury, and help them to re-build their relationship with their horses.
Do contact me for an initial chat to see if the horses and I can help you. I work both face to face and on-line.

Whatever level you ride at, and whichever discipline you enjoy, it is so important to make sure your basic riding technique is correct in order to get the very best from your horse.

All three parts to this webinar, Stop, Go and Turn, are vital for a dressage test or a show jumping course, for example, and to enable you to produce imaginative schooling sessions with your horse:

STOP  examines the application of the halt and half halt, and the effect of the horse ‘taking weight behind’.

GO  works in conjunction with stop aids in transitions, and regulating tempo and rhythm. It explores forwardness and lengthening the horse’s strides.

Equine Assisted Counselling for Horse Riders

Equine Assisted Counselling for Horse Riders

As an equestrian professional for many years, and a psychotherapist, I offer my unique approach to counselling for horse riders.

Riding is a risky sport, with riders being prone to accidents and injuries. Such traumatic events affect  your confidence. Trauma from riding accidents can result in post traumatic stress, which can lead to  PTSD.

How it works

Sessions will include ‘talking therapy‘ without the horse, to gain understanding about yourself, and issues going on for you. We will also work with your horse, to improve how you function together.

I can work with you and your own horse to develop your relationship, and to work with any issues you may have. Most importantly, we will  focus on gaining a better understanding about your horse and about yourself.

Claire and Heinrich

Sessions, lasting up to an hour, cost £45 each.  (travel costs may apply)

Sessions are also available online via Zoom using video footage of you and your horse.
