Claire Lilley Clinics

I am taking bookings again for clinics in the UK, so do contact me if you would like me to come to your yard or venue of your choice.

I teach all levels, including ridden, lungeing and in-hand work, specialising on the relationship between horse and rider, building trust and confidence.

Just drop me an email with your requirements, and I can work out the details with you.

Free-schooling with Norman

Here is a short video of Norman schooling himself. Undulating ground adds to fitness and balance, so if you do not have a sand school, good old-fashioned grass is fine. Just check the footing is not slippery first. Working without a lunge line, in a secure place, helps you to develop communication with your body language and voice.

Perdido at the South West Iberian Show

Perdido and I ventured off to the South West Iberian Show recently. He is such a cool dude, and really looked after me. So many new experiences to tackle for us!

We both had a lovely time, having not been to any shows since last year.

Claire Lilley and Perdido

He coped really well with the environment, and did not bat an eyelid at anything.

We came fifth in the in-hand PRE stallions, third in ridden PRE stallion, and won first place at the Friday evening Parade class. This was our first outing in our Spanish gear, so very exciting!

Claire Lilley Spanish Horses

I have  been involved with Spanish horses for most of my equestrian career, both as a trainer and rider. The most recent addition to the family is PRE Perdido, a stallion imported from Spain a couple of years ago. I am really enjoying a new lease of life, venturing out into the world of showing and dressage again after a ten year break.

We have competed in dressage and showing at Hartpury at the GBPRE shows in the last couple of years.

Perdido passed the ANCCE stallion grading in 2019 at The Unicorn Trust. He has super conformation and a wonderful attitude to life, and a pleasure to own. Look out for further updates in our progress soon!
